Technical engineers often face the same problem when servicing vacuum circuit breakers: the vacuum degree inside the interrupter chamber cannot be directly observed, and conventional withstand voltage tests can only determine whether it has failed, without providing a quantitative value. The DRV-6200 Switch Vacuum Degree Tester uses the magnetron discharge method, applying a pulsed magnetic field and high voltage across the interrupter chamber, and calculates the vacuum degree by collecting ion current. The measured value can correspond to a specific order of magnitude, making it suitable for regular testing of vacuum circuit breaker interrupter chambers.
The traditional power-frequency withstand voltage method can only determine whether the vacuum degree is below the failure threshold of about 10⁻² Pa, which is a qualitative judgment. The detection range of the DRV-6200 covers 10⁻⁵ Pa to 10⁻¹ Pa, and can distinguish the gradual change process of vacuum degree during interrupter chamber operation. Compared with some instruments that use the cold cathode magnetron method, this model requires setting the tube diameter and electric field parameters according to the tube type before measurement, establishing corresponding files for common vacuum interrupter chambers from 12kV to 40.5kV, thereby reducing reading deviations caused by differences in tube type. The instrument has a built-in rechargeable battery, and a single charge can support continuous measurement, making it suitable for on-site working environments without a fixed power supply.
Measurement range: 10⁻⁵ Pa—10⁻¹ Pa; measurement error: no more than one order of magnitude within the 10⁻⁴ Pa—10⁻¹ Pa interval; power supply method: built-in lithium battery, with charging adapter; display method: LCD screen directly reads the vacuum degree order of magnitude and ion current value; operating environment: temperature -10℃—40℃, relative humidity no more than 80%. The instrument adopts a portable structure, with measurement, setting, and storage buttons arranged on the panel. Measurement data can be recorded manually or exported through an interface, facilitating the establishment of interrupter chamber condition records.
This instrument is suitable for power system substations, industrial and mining enterprise distribution rooms, and vacuum circuit breaker manufacturing and maintenance units, for acceptance after installation and sampling inspection during operation of vacuum interrupter chambers. Before measurement, it is necessary to confirm that the appearance of the interrupter chamber is not damaged and that the insulation at both ends is good, and to select the corresponding parameter group according to the tube type being tested. For multiple measurements of the same circuit breaker, it is recommended to perform them under similar environmental conditions in order to make horizontal comparisons of data change trends.
