The high current generator is specially designed and manufactured for power departments and industrial and mining enterprises in electrical equipment tests such as current load tests and temperature rise tests on various switches, current transformers, and other electrical equipment.
Let's talk about the standard operation of the high current generator:
1. Connect the working circuit of the high current generator according to the electrical schematic diagram.
2. Turn on the power. The red indicator light will be on. Press the start button, the green indicator light of the high current generator on the operation console will be on, and the high current generator is waiting for current boosting.
3. To ensure testing accuracy, pay attention to the current indication of the high current generator output on the operation console until the required high current is reached. A standard ammeter can be connected in series at the meter terminals.
4. If any abnormal phenomenon is found during the test, immediately cut off the power supply and find out the cause before conducting the test again.
5. After the test, press the stop button to cut off the power supply, and it is necessary to return the voltage regulator to zero. Only after cutting off the working power can the test wiring be removed to ensure the safety of the high current generator and operators.
6. The high current generator is designed for short-time work, so it is not allowed to work under rated capacity for a long time. To prevent overheating of the high current generator, it is especially not allowed to operate beyond the rated current.
7. For transformers that have been unused for a long time or newly installed. If the resistance value is not lower than 0.5 megohms, before operation, use a 1500 megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance between coils and between coils and ground before use.
8. To ensure safety during use, the high current generator and the operation console must be reliably grounded.
9. During use, the current should be increased slowly and evenly.
10. Avoid excessive vibration during handling.
