During the installation acceptance of 10kV to 35kV switchgear in substations, maintenance of vacuum circuit breakers, and sampling inspections during operation, a decrease in the internal vacuum degree of the interrupter often has no obvious external features, requiring quantitative detection using the magnetron discharge principle. The ZVK-320 switch vacuum degree tester adopts a multi-purpose structure and can be adapted to various models of vacuum interrupters, making it suitable for power system substations, industrial and mining enterprise distribution rooms, and vacuum circuit breaker manufacturing and maintenance units.
The instrument works based on the magnetron discharge principle. By applying an external magnetic field, residual gas in the interrupter is ionized, and the ion current is collected and converted into a vacuum degree value. The measurement range covers a 10% range position, facilitating switching between different tube types. The magnetic field voltage parameters are configured according to the interrupter structure, and during testing, the discharge timing is controlled by the instrument's internal program to reduce the impact of human operational differences on readings.
For vacuum interrupters from different manufacturers and with different tube diameters, the instrument provides replaceable test fixtures and wiring methods, allowing engineers to select the corresponding range position according to the interrupter nameplate parameters. For circuit breakers installed in switchgear, sampling inspection can be completed without disassembly; for interrupters on the maintenance bench, acceptance testing can be performed after installation with a dedicated bracket. The test leads use a shielded structure to reduce the impact of on-site electromagnetic interference on ion current collection.
The instrument is suitable for indoor and outdoor working conditions with an ambient temperature of -10°C to 40°C and relative humidity not exceeding 80%. Power is supplied by a built-in DC power source or an external adapter. Before use, confirm that the interrupter surface is clean and dry and that the test fixture is in good contact with the contacts; after testing, discharge according to the procedure to avoid residual charge affecting the next measurement. The instrument panel provides areas for parameter setting and result reading. The operating procedure is subject to the accompanying documentation, and it is recommended that trained personnel operate according to the regulations.
