Vacuum interrupters may develop slow leaks during long-term operation, and visual inspection cannot determine changes in internal vacuum degree. Design and selection personnel need a means to quantitatively detect vacuum degree on site, avoiding switch failure when breaking is required.
The WDK-860 Switch Vacuum Degree Tester adopts the magnetron discharge method, ionizing gas inside the interrupter by applying a pulsed magnetic field, measuring ion current and converting it to a vacuum degree value. This method requires no disassembly of the interrupter and is suitable for rapid on-site screening of vacuum switches.
The vacuum degree measurement range covers 9.999×10⁻⁵ Pa to 1×10⁻¹ Pa, with measurement error not exceeding 10%. The instrument has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery with continuous working time of no less than 6 hours, adapting to substation site scenarios without power supply. Compared with the traditional withstand voltage method, this device provides quantitative results for trend judgment.
During testing, simply place the interrupter in the magnetic field coil and complete wiring and measurement as prompted. The instrument automatically stores test data, which can be exported via USB interface, facilitating archiving and historical record analysis by design and selection personnel.
Suitable for installation acceptance, routine maintenance and troubleshooting of 10kV~35kV vacuum switches, and also for quality verification after interrupter replacement. For switches with long service life, regular testing helps detect leakage hazards in advance.
