Whether the vacuum degree of an arc extinguishing chamber is qualified often can only be confirmed during circuit breaker assembly or maintenance. Design and selection personnel often ask: is there an instrument that can quickly determine the vacuum degree level of a vacuum interrupter on site, rather than removing the interrupter and sending it for inspection? The WDK-500 switch vacuum degree tester is designed for this need, using the magnetron discharge method to complete vacuum degree measurement without opening or breaking the arc extinguishing chamber.
The vacuum degree measurement range covers 9.999×10⁻⁵ Pa~1×10⁻¹ Pa, including the main range of vacuum circuit breakers from qualified to deteriorated. In the 10⁻⁴ Pa~10⁻² Pa range, the measurement error does not exceed ±10%; in the 10⁻² Pa~10⁻¹ Pa range, the measurement error does not exceed ±20%. The instrument has a built-in standard tube type parameter library and supports settings according to interrupter diameter and tube type, reducing systematic deviation caused by tube type differences.
During on-site testing, strong electric and magnetic fields may affect weak signal acquisition. The instrument adopts shielding and filtering measures on the signal channel and performs digital processing on the discharge current waveform to reduce the impact of interference on readings. For power supply, it supports both AC 220V and a built-in lithium battery, making it convenient for use in switchgear sites without mains power.
After wiring is completed, select the corresponding tube type and start measurement. The instrument automatically completes discharge and data acquisition, and the results are displayed on the LCD screen. Measurement results can be stored and exported for maintenance record archiving. The instrument weighs about 7kg and comes with a portable case, suitable for mobile work between substations and maintenance workshops.
Suitable for vacuum degree detection of arc extinguishing chambers in 10kV~35kV vacuum circuit breakers. It can be used in factory inspection, handover acceptance, and routine maintenance to help operation and maintenance personnel determine whether the arc extinguishing chamber needs replacement.
