Product Overview:
5A Large Ground Grid Earth Resistance Tester is a software and hardware system mainly used for accurately measuring grounding characteristic parameters of large grounding grids, such as grounding impedance, grounding resistance, grounding reactance, field surface potential gradient, contact potential difference, contact voltage, step potential difference, step voltage, transfer potential, grounding down-conductor continuity resistance, soil resistivity, etc..It adopts point-by-point frequency conversion, has extremely strong anti-interference capability, and can accurately measure data at power frequency 50Hz under strong interference environments. The system has large output power (2-20KW), high voltage (0-1000V), and large output current (0-50A), which will not cause excessive potential rise of the grounding device during testing. At the same time, it also has extremely strong anti-interference capability, so measurement can be carried out without power outage.

Structure Principle:
This instrument mainly consists of a different frequency power supply that provides test current, current and voltage measurement circuits, and a microcomputer measurement and control system. The instrument measures the grounding impedance by measuring the ratio of the potential rise of the grounding device to the current flowing into the grounding device.
The different frequency constant current power supply can output a sine wave test current with a frequency of 45Hz or 55Hz, and the output frequency is controlled by the microcomputer system. Its output is isolated and then output through the C1 and C2 terminals on the instrument panel. The voltage amplifier is a high input impedance amplifier that amplifies the voltage across P1 and P2 and sends it to the filter. The current amplifier amplifies the current signal obtained from the current transformer and sends it to the filter. The filter is used to filter out interference signals and only allows 45Hz and 55Hz signals to pass through. The A/D converter is used to convert voltage and current signals into digital signals for analysis and processing by the microcomputer system. When the user starts the grounding impedance measurement, the instrument first turns on the different frequency power supply to output a current with a frequency of 45Hz. After the current stabilizes, the microcomputer system obtains voltage and current waveform data through the A/D converter, performs digital filtering, and calculates the voltage V45 and current I45 and their phase difference, and then further calculates the impedance Z45, resistance component R45, and reactance component X45. Then, the output frequency of the different frequency power supply is switched to 55Hz, and after the same steps, the impedance Z55, resistance component R55, and reactance component X55 are calculated. The average of Z45 and Z55 is taken as the power frequency grounding impedance Z50. Finally, the different frequency power supply is turned off, and the measurement results are displayed on the LCD screen. Therefore, during impedance measurement, the instrument measures the ratio of the voltage between the two voltage input terminals P1 and P2 to the power supply output current.
