High-Voltage Switch Automatic Vacuum Degree Testeris an equipment for assessing the vacuum degree of vacuum arc extinguishing chambers. With a single-chip computer as the main control unit, the testing process is fully automated. The sampling design of this instrument differs from previous methods that used current peak for calibration; instead, it uses ion charge for calibration. This effectively suppresses interference from transient power sources during testing, making the test more stable and reliable. Due to the use of a computer as the main control unit, the instrument can conveniently deduct leakage currents caused by environmental factors.
Testing Principle
Separate the two contacts of the arc extinguishing chamber to a certain gap, apply pulsed high voltage, and surround the electromagnetic coil around the outside of the chamber. Pass a large current through the coil, thereby generating a pulsed magnetic field synchronized with the high voltage inside the chamber. Under the action of this pulsed magnetic field, electrons in the chamber move in a spiral motion and collide with residual gas molecules, causing ionization. The resulting ion current is approximately proportional to the residual gas density, i.e., the vacuum degree. For different vacuum tubes, under the same vacuum degree conditions, the magnitude of the ion current varies. After measuring the ion current, the vacuum degree is automatically calculated by the computer through the ion current-vacuum degree curve, and the vacuum degree value is displayed.
