The wireless phase verification instrument consists of two detection and transmission devices and a receiving host. The two detection and transmission devices can determine whether the line is live, and then announce the measured phase and frequency signals. Compared with wired phase verification instruments, its main advantage is that it eliminates the need for connecting wires between the two power grids (power sources), and its use is not restricted by any terrain or equipment structure, improving safety.

For three-phase connected lines, it is required to confirm the relative phase of different conductors.
